Hi everyone - I couldn’t think of a more appropriate folder to put this in, but if it needs to be moved I apologise.

I have a site set up that contains many PDF documents, and I’m managing them with weblinks and then using Wayfinder or Ditto to display the list of PDFs on each page.

My question: You know how when you create a link in TinyMCE there’s a button next to the Link URL field that brings up a file browser? Is there any way to implement something like that next to the Weblink field when creating a new Weblink so I could browse and select the document rather than typing the link out by hand?

    Thanks, Kahli

No that I’m aware of... at least, not without some beefy extending of the MCE classes...

Why don’t you write a snippet that lists the contents of a directory and formats each result within an anchor tag? Then you can do all of your organizing using your FTP client and folders. Know what I mean?

Unfortunately FTP isn’t an option. The local server hosting this site has some funny security setup and will not allow it.

Thanks for your answer though, at least I know now that there isn’t a simple tool that could be turned on that I’d overlooked.

I was using the weblink and Wayfinder/Ditto method so I could sort the PDFs by title or publish date or include a summary, without having to specify this with chunks (like with FileDownload).

          Se the Link List?¿
You want it to be used when creating the weblink... sorry!

It’s probably possibke with javascript and a plugin, but tricky.
