Shorten this http://www.[(site_name)]/index.php?q=[*alias*].html

I was hoping to find a document specifc variable something like [*page_url*] to just output the url of the current page I am on using the friendly url option but I cant find one in the documentation.

All i am doing is adding a facebook like button and require a link dynamically adding in the meta tags to the current page being viewed and can only come up with the above solution which would have to be altered depending on the friendly url settings.

Is there another way I wonder.
