This is a weird issue which I can’t work out, so any pointers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Basically any changes I make to the HTML within the content or a template of one of my sites is ignored and not reflected in the site. I have cleared the cache, both in MODx, and the browsers I have tested this issue in.
These are my expires in my htaccess:
<IfModule mod_expires.c>
ExpiresActive On
ExpiresDefault "access plus 1 seconds"
ExpiresByType image/x-icon "access plus 1 year"
ExpiresByType image/ico "access plus 1 year"
ExpiresByType image/jpeg "access plus 1 year"
ExpiresByType image/png "access plus 1 year"
ExpiresByType image/gif "access plus 1 year"
ExpiresByType application/x-shockwave-flash "access plus 1 year"
ExpiresByType text/css "access plus 1 year"
ExpiresByType text/javascript "access plus 1 year"
ExpiresByType application/x-javascript "access plus 1 year"
ExpiresByType text/html "access plus 600 seconds"
ExpiresByType application/xhtml+xml "access plus 600 seconds"
</IfModule>
I can’t see any problem here.
I don’t think it is a problem with my hosting as there is not the same issue with my other sites.
Any ideas?
It get’s stranger. I can successfully update the HTML now - I was using the includeTemplate snippet, which has worked with no problems before, but I have now switched to adding the template HTML directly in MODx as opposed to including external HTML and all is working as it should. Ish...
However, the next problem is that I have a slideshow on the home page - the HTML can be updated now, but when I add a new pic it does not show up. Very frustrating for such a simple website, and I haven’t got a clue what’s going on. I think the next step is to upgrade to 1.03 and see if that does the trick, and clears out any issues.
I should add that my hosts recently moved servers. They had omitted to include/enable the GD library after the move, so all my images using PHPthumb were not showing up. Is it possible that they may have omitted something else perhaps?
Check that your chosen lang file match the collation of your database
e.g. you are using the utf8 one if you use utf8 for db charset and collation.
Just had this issue. The problem was IE9.
Went to Chrome and there was no problem.
