Image TV inserts path, not image

I have set a TV to allow users to upload images, but it inserts only the path: assets/images/test.jpg, not the actual image.

If I use Rich text, it uploads. Do I need to put the SRC code in the template?

When adding images using a tv we generally add code akin to

<img src="[*tvImageName*]" />

as well as any other attributes we are adding to the image
