What plugin to use for a Forum

My client may want a forum in the site I’m going to develop in Modx.
What is ModxCms.com using software / plugin?
The client wants search of post information, email notify when a post is added to or possibly when a starting post is made.
Is the plugin myForum 0.3 a good choice? Also what kind of time am I looking at in setting up the forum software, database etc.

MODx uses Simple Machines Forum skinned to look like our main site. There is no integration currently.

There is a vBullentin integration (can’t find the link)

Just one more question regarding forum software, how would vBulletin
be more effective than Simple Machines. And is the integration of vBulletin just that my client could make additions from within the the Modx cms interface?

I have used Phorum, there was a try to integrate it with MODx
but I do not think it was finished...
