Well I’m going to prepare a whitepaper focussing on MODx.
I think it will be beneficial to MODx team and everyone connected to MODx.
I used to use Joomla, but not in detail. I was good in using its backend. But got stuck in stuffs.
I’ve frens in my place... who use Drupal for professional deals.

" As everyone knows, MODx is loveable because of its simplicity and flexibility
and I hope it gets more n more popular. "
    laugh

But one thing that I miss in MODx is we’ve relatively less number of addons....modules n other extra stuffs in our site. sad

Back to the topic, could u guys please post good links to resources for developing this whitepaper. rolleyes

It’s just not very clear what really is the focus of your paper.
What kind of resources do you need?

Regarding the number of addons: MODx has more add-ons per community member ratio than most other CMS. As the community grows more add-ons are getting developed (this week we had several new add-ons released and it is only wednesday). The second factor is that it is easy to develop for MODx which means that many add-ons are developed on the fly for specific purposes and many don;t get released. In any case it is not as much of an issue as it would be with a plug-n-play cms.

Lately, I almost stopped looking for snippets and plugins.

Sometimes it’s easier to create my own and given the specificity of some projects I have to code them myself.

Uhm... actually I prefer MODx than other CMSes. And I want to make websites in MODx.
So I need to present whitepaper on "why one would prefer MODx cms?" cool

Like I can include features of MODx which are not present in other CMSes.
Plus points of MODx to other CMSes.
              Also it can be
              MODx Vs Joomla
              MODx Vs Drupal
              MODx Vs Wordpress

It could be evolution of MODx... etc... grin

While I was preparing the whitepaper I got a gud link from a fren of mine.

I was searching for a website that wud give me a table comparing CMSes, and it’s the exact match.

                  http://cmsmatrix.org

                  DId u visit the link???

DIdn’t mean to be rude...but unfortunately... found many things missing in MODx while comparing
                  Drupal, MODx, Joomla and Wordpress.

I’d like to hear more from it in the near future.
I’m currently doing a traineeship in a webcommunication company in the Netherlands.
I’m doing some research on Content Management Systems for some of our clients.
MODx will also be on the shortlist.

If you need some input, let me know.
                    I’m curious, please carry on!

Some of it’s out of date, much of it is accurate. That said though, checkboxes don’t necessarily indicated the usability or maintainability of solutions. wink
