I had a bunch of files disappear from one of my folders. Now when I try to replace them I can choose a file and upload it, and I even get a response saying it uploaded but then when I navigate away from that folder the file disappears. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I tried creating a new folder to put the files in, and had the same problem.

Where, exactly, are you doing this? Are you using the Manager’s File Manager? An FTP client? The rich text editor? A "file" type TV?

Are the files actually not there, or just not visible to the file manager? What permissions are you using (Tools -> Configuration, File Manager tab)

Depending on how your server is configured, it is quite possible to upload a file via a php script that subsequently does not have permission settings for the same php script to even see the file.

Does the Reports -> System Events log have anything logged relevant to the issue?

The files are actually not there.
If I go look at Manager Actions, it shows that I upload them and then immediately delete them.
To add another strange layer, I have found that I can upload images to a directory at work just not at home.
