Hi, i have a slight problem. I recently move a site i was working on, my first modx site in fact from test environment to live server.
I am trying to create content for one of the pages, i tried to add an image but i get this error:("Failed to upload file, internal error..."), if i try to make a folder it tells me i don’t have permission.
When transferring to the site from test to live i read the wiki and changed the permissions of the files and folders it suggested. Everything went fine but told when i tried to update some content for the first time since the transfer i can upload images. I have tried changing permissions for some folders in the manager directory, like(browser) but still the same problem.
I don’t know if i my question is clear enough, but has anyone else experienced something similar? Any help is appreciated.

Are you sure you have the correct path and URL in the Configuration, in the Interface and Features tab as well as the File Manager tab?
Thanks for the reply.
Yeh, i made sure i changed that when i move to the live server. I can view and edit my css files, view images and everything but when i try to upload something through the tinymce interface i can’t :s.

Does the Reports -> System Events have anything to say?
Ok i think i might be on what the problem was. I checked the configuration panel on the home screen and i saw this message:
"MODx needs the GD and Zip extension enabled for PHP. While MODx will work without them, you will not be able to take full advantage of the built-in File Manager, Image Editor or Captcha for logins."
How do i go about enabling GD and Zip extensions on the version of php on the server?

Check your phpinfo() view and see if gd is enabled (Reports -> System Info). The image browser needs that to create its thumbnails.
The zip extensions are only necessary if you want to unzip .zip files using the File Manager.
So you could have gd but not zip, or vice verse, or neither of them.
How to enable it if it’s not is wildly different depending on your server. It can range from uncommenting a line in a config file to recompiling PHP to asking your hosting tech support to enable it.
Thanks again.
I contacted support at my host, they say they will enable GD and zip extensions during thier next maintenance. I hope till will fix the problem.
