I need to build a comment/feedback system, some sort of a forum, for a company who wants to allow anonymous posting of questions/comments to a webpage, for the management to respond to.

So, new posts can be made by anyone using a name, or not, but only replies can be made by the management team.
Additionally, all management need to be emailed when a new post is made, including a link in the email for them to load a page they can respond to.

I’ve looked at jot, but that doesnt seem to have enough control.
I’ve looked at SMF - which seems heavy duty, and I’m not sure you can control it in the same way ie anonymous posting requiring no registration, but registerd replies only.
What would you use if you had to add this feature to modx?

ok, so im thinking i can cobble this together with a couple of custom snippets and a few trusty standard snippets.

use ’eform’ to allow the initial comment entry
use ’eform2db’ to collect the entries in the database
use eform’s callback functions to trigger an email to management when a comment is submitted
use ’jot’ to enable replies to each comment from management
write a custom snippet to pull comments from db and display them
write a custom snippet to display the number of replies, and the replies themselves to each comment
