    Hi all

I have to import an existing site database into a new server and am restricted to a maximum import size of 2040kb, but my db is 2899kb.

I thought about importing the db table by table but life is too short for that. I can see that the table modx_manager_log is 1492kb, so is it safe to delete a load of the earliest entries from this table and then import the whole db in one go?

    Thanks in advance

It’s perfectly safe to empty the whole table. If you want to keep track of it for some reason, use the Tools->Backup and just select that table to back up; you can empty it by clicking on the blue link on the same page.

Thanks for the speedy reply! that’s sorted, emptied the table and it’s down to 2k.

You might also want to check out the System Events (error log) table. Of course, if that has anything in it, it’s best to go fix whatever is causing the errors.

good advice ... and there are 49 entries which may be from ages ago, but as they are stamped in unix time i can’t tell - I’d like to find this out, so could i use a tv to render these dates on a page, as i would with ditto posts etc?
