I’ve got a resource that should show as a css, and it works just fine in not IE.

Checked on IE7 and IE8 and both have the same error.
Now while I put a lot of the blame on IE, the w3 validator ( http://validator.w3.org ) also gave me the
    500 Internal Server Error

I looked though the other thread, that indicated that there is an issue with the content. I’ve ruled that out, since I’m using html {height:100%;}.

I have the resource set to published and media type to css

    any ideas?

In IE you have to have a closing tag. Other browsers don’t care one way or another, so I usually use the closing tag method.
          <base href="[(site_url)]"></base>

Id do use the base tags the pages, but I doubt that’s the cause of it as it doesn’t work when I try to access it dirretly.

            or
            http://test.daspoda.com/index.php?id=52

            the W3 validator returns
            CSS Validator Error
            Target: http://test.daspoda.com/style.css

I/O Error: http://test.daspoda.com/style.css: Internal Server Error

This is supposed to by a "clever" way of rotating banners randomly, without changing the code of the page, thus loading the page from cache, and not reloading any part of the page.

I’m thinking that it might be an issue with the server, I’m using ICDsoft, and had some other strangeness happen with installing Revo a bit ago. So maybe if I move it to another server it will be fine. For now I’m putting the css code in the header, and not caching it (so the images don’t change on page reload)

I use a snippet to randomly grab an image filename, and have a bit of a <style> block in my template head to set the background image that uses the snippet. I’ve found that trying to get overly clever with MODx documents as CSS documents can have all sorts of odd unexpected results.

That’s what I’m doing, but this can cause pages to have to reload.
