Renaming manager directory

A directory named ’manager’ already exists on the web server. Is it possible to rename the manager directory prior to installing?

She means you cannot rename the manager directory in the Evolution releases of MODx (version 0.9.x/1.x). MODx Revolution (advanced distributions) do allow you to customize the location/name of the manager directory (this is the 2.x releases that are currently in the release candidate stage).

Thanks Jason. I have downloaded 2.0. How do I avoid multiple directories with the same name? Do I rename the manager directory before uploading?

Update on this issue: With Evo v1.0.12 you can rename the manager folder:

Ability to change folder MANAGER ( rename the folder and define the path in assets/cache/siteManager.php)
