Hi Everyone!
I’m a newbie with MODx and have a slight problem.
I’ve just installed MODx 1.0.2 onto my server. The client’s webpage already exists on another server, so I will be developing the site on my server and change the Name Servers when ready to go live.
In the mean time I am developing the temporary site with a URL:
example: http://www.mycompany.com/~mysite
I’ve successfully installed MODx
WITHOUT the Demo Site Data...
I’ve also modified my the .htaccess file to show:
Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine On
#RewriteBase /
RewriteBase /~mysite/
# Fix Apache internal dummy connections from breaking [(site_url)] cache
RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} ^.*internal\ dummy\ connection.*$ [NC]
RewriteRule .* - [F,L]
# Rewrite domain.com -> www.domain.com -- used with SEO Strict URLs plugin
#RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} .
#RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.example\.com [NC]
#RewriteRule (.*) http://www.example.com/$1 [R=301,L]
# Exclude /assets and /manager directories from rewrite rules
RewriteRule ^(manager|assets) - [L]
# For Friendly URLs
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
#RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /~mysite/index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
Going to the main URL works great: (
http://www.mycompany.com/~mysite)
The Problem
However, the Manager is not rendering correctly. It appears that it is not reading the CSS Style correctly. I do see images, however, there is no "skin". Please see attached Picture.
I understand I will have to change some of this back when we do go live.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated!
Thank you!
Scott
