Is it possible to permit the upload of any type of file to the MODx file manager, with the "Uploadable File Types" setting? (for example, by setting the value to something like "*" or "" (ie, blank), or do the allowable file types all have to be specified explicitly?)
I realise that there are possibly security implications to this (but PHP is already in the list!), but our manager users are all trusted users.
Please don't PM me unless it's absolutely essential: if a technical question is worth asking, it's worth asking in public, so that others can share their experience, and so that all can learn from the answers.
I’m quite sure that it must be explicit, and is probably planned that way.
Wow that’s really weird that someone else had this same question today!
I hope this relates enough to post in it in this thread—I’m having problems with FCKeditor stalling at 50% during some file uploads. At first I thought it had to do with the document having dots/periods in the title but I just tested that with a different (smaller) file and it worked just fine. Has anyone had this 50% upload issue before?

That’s a totally different issue. For your problem, I would suggest that the file is larger than the upload size allowed by your PHP/Apache configuration, or perhaps takes more memory to process than is allowed, or takes longer than the time allowed for a script to run.
