Evo 1.0.2 Upgrade, error: "checkinconfig.inc.php exists and is writable: FAILED!

Tried to use original config file (permissions 777) but kept getting this error: "checking config.inc.php exists and is writable: FAILED!" so tried a blank config.inc.php (777) and still get this error (but if I look on the good side, it’s the only error).

I’d really appreciate any suggestions. This is one of those installs with monsters around every corner undecided

    Thanks!

Uh... are you sure the error is that it’s NOT supposed to be writable? Try changing the permissions to something like 644.

Depending on your host’s configuration, it may not allow 777 permissions at all. And of course if you’re on a windows server the permission settings have no effect at all.
