Integrated contacts

I’d like to be able to integrate some kind of system that will allow for the easy display of contacts, with an easy to use backend, for maintaining the list. Does anyone know of an existing addon that can do this, or of a simple script I can integrate to accomplish this?

You could just use Ditto and a stack of template variables. If you have a document for each contact then you can have, say, a ’phone’ TV, an ’email’ TV etc. and then output these all into the parent document using Ditto and a custom template (which should prbably conform to the hCard microformat.

Not the most beatiful solution ever, but it is very flexible and will be easy for users to fill out if the TVs are described well.

I use WebLoginPE for this sort of thing. It allows for custom fields, so you can manipulate it just about any way you like. Great for keeping lists of people for any reason.

I had considered both using TV’s and Ditto, as well as WebloginPE.

I’ll be running webloginPE for our user control, but I needed something extremely simple just to display a search-able list of contacts to certain groups of webusers.

I decided on Inscriptio (http://inscriptio.sehnot.de/download.html). It’s GPL, and allows me to just display a single list of search-able contacts. It also uses a flat file type database, and is easy to hack for my specific use.

OK, so my client "re-organized" the way she was planning to do this. I am now going to use WebLoginPE completely for this project. I’ve run into a couple issues using WebloginPE, and am hoping someone can help me out.
