Hi I have moved my site from one domain to another, all CSS and HTML links work fine.

But i cannot load images I keep getting this error message Error, “Failed to upload file, internal error...”

The images are def in the correct folder...

In tools /configuration / Interface & Features / File base path i have set the physical path ............/public_html/assets/images

and in File Browser URL I have set the virtual path domain-name.com/assets/images

But I still cannot load any images, they are def in the image folder assets/images... Does anyone know what else i should change to allow me to load images again thanks in advance

When I open the image box the link at the top of the box is this

      domain-name.com/assets/plugins/tinymce3241/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/advimage/image.htm

and when I open the box next to image URL this is the link

      domain-name.com/manager/media/browser/mcpuk/browser.php?Connector=/manager/media/browser/mcpuk/connectors/php/connector.php&ServerPath=/&editor=tinymce3&editorpath=/assets/plugins/tinymce3241&type=images

I am guessing the problem lies in one of these, has anyone come across this before? I need to add some images to the site but at the moment i am not able to do this

Did you check the configurations about "File base path" and "File Browser URL" after your server move?

And maybe this can help you: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,38814.msg234218.html#msg234218

          thanks for your reply Henrik

My File base path: is home/michae49/public_html/assets/

My File Browser URL: is /assets/

I think the problem is with my file base path,,, the domain was my default domain under /public_html. But at the moment if i type in my mydomain.com/assets/ the assets folder does not come up so i have to work on it a bit..

Under: Reports -> System Info -> MODX_BASE_PATH you can get the needed information.
The problem are probably caused because you have another path to your assets folder on your new domain.

I had a look under Reports -> System Info -> MODX_BASE_PATH you can get the needed information.

I could not see MODX_BASE_PATH in the Database tables, it was not there

The problem is caused because I have another path to your assets folder i am sure of it, but in file manager this is the path /public_html/assets

Some people have solved this problem by adding a path like /home/www/domain.tld/assets/ but when i do that I get

              mydomain.com/assets/ i get a message

              Un authorized access
You’re not allowed to access file folder

I have been trying to solve this problem today by moving my site into a sub folder, but that didn’t work and now I get a error message on my pages saying
404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request

I am not getting much luck at the moment, I am never going to move a modx site from one domain to another again

                http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,33018.20.html

It’s normal that you get a 404 error, if you are pointing your browser to http://www.domain.tld/assets/ without any specific file in the url.

But can you see the images when you are using the image browser in the manager? If not you need to delete the .thumb_* files under assets/images with a ftp client. And are the images showing up on your pages?

And if that is not the problem - are there anything in your .htaccess files there are kicking your out?

What version of MODX are you using?

It’s not normal, your web server should server up the index.html file in there saying:

                    Un authorized access
You’re not allowed to access file folder

If your getting a 404 your .htacess file may be configured incorrectly.
