    trying to embed a wmv video into a webpage. when i click the embed icon (little film strip) within tinymce, i am able to locate my video and hit "ok". the video starts playing in the little preview window, so it’s obvious the video is there. at this point i click "update", and then save the resource.

    when i go to view the page, the media player is on the page, and it says "ready", but the video will not play. i’ve tried taking off all the javascript i’m using on the page to see if that was interfering, but no dice. any input on what else to check? when i view the source i see the embedded video as:
    <object classid="clsid:6bf52a52-394a-11d3-b153-00c04f79faa6" width="435" height="315" codebase="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=5,1,52,701">
    <param name="url" value="assets/media/2009_Fairfield_Center_School_Field_Days_Internet.wmv" />
    <embed type="application/x-mplayer2" width="435" height="315" src="assets/media/2009_Fairfield_Center_School_Field_Days_Internet.wmv"></embed>
    </object>

    thanks.

      looks like it will play in IE8, but not Chrome, Firefox or Opera...

      the video plays in the preview window in Firefox, but not on the actual site.

        well... kind of found a solution... if i disable rich text on the resource so i am just viewing the html and i put the absolute path to the video in the "src=" attribute ("http://www.domain.com/assets/media/file.wmv" instead of "assets/media/file.wmv") the video will start playing in firefox...

        SOLUTION:
        Elements -> Plugins, edit TinyMCE, go to Configuration, change "Path Options" from "docrelative" to "rootrelative". seems to have solved the problem
