Hi. Does anyone know if there is an up-to-date book out for modx, I would really like to get hold of a comprehensive resource to learn from, I have found myself very comfortable with making templates and incorporating JQuery but really struggle with some issues like manager manger and eform. I have seen the existing book but I am reluctant to buy this as it is not about the current version.

eForm and ManagerManager are Add-ons for MODx, and would need their own books separate from one about how the core of MODx works. So even if there was an up-to-date book published about MODx, it would likely not include anything other than exemplary information about these Add-ons.

Getting support for these Add-ons here in the forums and in the documentation is going to be your best bet.

Both eForm and ManagerManager are part of the official distribution of MODx but both are not managed by the core team though the author of ManagerManager seems to be part of the core team now?

I thought the documentation that is included with each snippet and plugin is rather good. Each has a dedicated forum as well.

We usually don’t even bother with eForm and integrate MachForm into MODx as it allows our users to build their own forms (sure it’s a CMF but it’s also as CMS).
