I am new in this field and i would like to transfer exesting site on my local machine. I have acces to the provider database so i can download all files related to the site on my machine.
I am using WAMP and i tried to open the site from Localhost, but it didnt work.
I understand that i need an original database, but i cannot transfer it to my local machine, because the sql dumb of the original site is too big and WAMP doesn’t accept files above 40Mo.
Do you you have any ideas ?
Have you tried importing it using the MySQL console? That should work for any size file. Click on the Wampserver console, then MySQL to access the console.
another solution is to take your sql file split in 2 and run 2 separate queries.
