While learning MODx 1.0.2 I try to make documents to structure the informations I gather on.
I was trying to make a list of some place holders "[+placeholder+]" by editing a document.
To prevent the code to be treated I tried to replace ’[’ by ’[’ in the HTML code (and so on), I also put the code between <code>...</code> or <pre>...</pre>. It works once but when I come back to edit the page the tag spelling is not rendered.
Is there any solution ?
No. I tryed that but when comming back in the RTE it is parse as a tag.
The HTML comment method has always worked for me:
[<!-- -->*whatever*<!-- -->]
Be sure to clear the site cache and your browser cache when testing it.
BTW, you should consider turning off the RTE, IMO.

Me like http://rahul.rahul.net/modx-hints/fixedpre-tag.html
Nice (and it validates), though I think I can enter the <!-- --> a lot faster than I can type the <fixedpre></fixedpre> tags.
PHP: 0.1160 s
...Add the tags to thetop and bottom of the docmuentation page.

In MODx Revolution, i use a plugin so that every modx tags in pre tags is replaced by html entities before calling the parser.
Combined with Geshi (syntax highlighter), it works well.

But what if I want some of the tags (e.g. link tags) to be processed?
