Change the manager folder

Is it possible in some way to change the /manager folder to something else?

It’s possible... but it’s not supported, and not recommended. I asked this question a long time ago, and I concluded that it was too much trouble.

If you’re concerned about security, you could add an htpasswd to the manager directory.

Susan (sottwell) has done this and posted about it on the forums. Some add-ons might have the manager path hard coded so some things might break but it’s a more-than-reasonable request.

Revo already allows you to put your manager in a directory of your own name choosing.

Okay sounds pretty good.

Do you have some specific links?

Im a little confused sence you say the modxcms allready have this feature? Where do I find the setting in the administration or where should I look?

You’re using the Evolution 1.x version. Revo, which is in beta, will include this feature.

Im using the 1.0.2 does it have the feature?

Sorry, no.

MODx Revolution 2.0 (still in beta -- soon to be RC1) has the feature but transferring your current site to Revolution is a major undertaking.

Yeah that was what I was affraid of

Can you send me some of the treads Susan has posted about the subject?

I whould be really happy if you could.
