    Hi!

I want to show a few columns in all the child documents... and let people able to edit it in an easy way, that is a rich text TV in the parent document... (I could do it using a chunk...)

But @inherit do not work with rich text TVs...

someone knows a way to do this? or maybe something similar?

    best regards!

        thanks sjh_vt!

but yes... I would like to use a rte, because end users do not understand too much about html, etc...
        and chunks have no rte

          I made this:

          http://wiki.moxiecode.com/index.php/TinyMCE:FAQ#TinyMCE_adds_BR_elements_to_my_content

so, in the mce_init.js.inc file changed it to

          	forced_root_block : false,
             force_br_newlines : true,
          	force_p_newlines : false,

but the original fil have this:

          	forced_root_block : '[+forced_root_block+]',
          	force_p_newlines : [+force_p_newlines+],

maybe I broke something? what are [+forced_root_block+] and [+force_p_newlines+]? it is a modx configuration variables? where are set those variables?
changes can be done in a more elegant way?

with that changes, tinymce o not add <p></p> to the @inherit value... and all the childs shows the parent rich text content

anyway, not having P tags added as default can generate problems... as is informed in the tinymce faq...

adding @inherit as the TV default value should work too... I guess?

trying it (using the regular mce_init.js.inc)

edit: I have tested it and do not work...
maybe you can make that TV editables only by admin user, and never trying to edit child documents as an admin... ?
            lol

            will try it later...
