I have tried to follow several guides about how to insert predefined html templates trough TinyMCE.

But I cant get it to work. I think the guides are made for an old release of modxcms.

Can anybody help with integration this feature ?

I have added the TinyMCE template button but the dropdown doesnt show any HTML templates sad

Please give me a hand. Im also willing to pay to get it done.

I don’t have access to a live MODx environment this second but the TinyMCE wiki suggests you need to install a TinyMCE plugin to do that. You will then need to set up some templates yourself, but all the documentation seems to be there.

Bear in mind that it may be easier to use template variables to define different bits of your layout: if you, say, want an image in the right column, build the right column into your template then insert another Richtext TV where you want the image. This means that if you suddenly decide the image should go in the left column on every single of 500 pages, you just change the one MODx template rather than going through every single document and using TinyMCE to mve the image.

I got the TinyMCE insert template to work.

I have read about the TV module it sounds promising.

With the TV is it possible to add galleries to it?

Might be able to use MaxiGallery, although I haven’t ever used this myself.

Template Variables are built in to MODx: they are custom content fields that can be assigned to any template you want. For example, in your case, you could create a TV of the type ’richtext’ (call it ’image’), tick the template you want it to be accessible from and then put [*image*] into your template in the right place. On every page you want the image, insert it into the image TV field which will have appeared on the edit page, instead of into the content area.
