    Hi all,
quite a while since i’ve posted here smiley

i’ve a little problem with the current modx evolution release i hadn’t before evolution. Whatever char encoding i choose for the site, the bdd and the manager (i’ve tried many, many install with utf-8, and then with iso - latin1 general/french) the characters that appear in the "normal" text input and texterea of the manager are utf8 encoded and unreadable.
Of course, i’ve check the source with firebug (as everything works with ajax in there) and the default texts are correctly writen

i suppose it comes from the natural utf8 encoding of Ajax which doesn’t seem to be managed by the "manager"... well, just for kidding, i would say this problem has appeared because of the use of jquery instead of mootools for the new modx smiley

something else, for the moment, whatever i choose as a character encoding, the front page comes with a iso charset end is an ascii file...
i suppose this won’t be a problem as, when coding my templates i’ll use the utf-8 charset and will make utf8 files too, but, just in case

any suggestion about that manager inputs encoding would be warmly welcome smiley

    thanks
    chris

      Hi all,

sorry guys, my fault, it popped out in my poor alcoholic brain tonight, it’s not at all an Ajax/utf8 problem but the well known Firefox/Helvetica bug, changing the font-family to Arial has solved the story

anyway, hope it’ll help those who could have asked themselves the same question

see you for the next silly question of mine smiley

      cheers
      chris
