Add data from one TV to another

I was wondering if there is a quick way I can transfer the value of one Text TV to another?

I have over 500 documents and was using introtext as a TV for tagData, however some contain ampesands and it does not work with ditto tagging. I cant remove the ampersands from the introtext as I want to display it with this at the frontend, therefore I am looking for a quick way to transfer the text from introtext TV to another TV which I will use for tag data and remove the ampersands..

does anyone know a solution rather than going through over 500 documents and doing it manually?

which would read your doc ’s field introtext and edit it, then put it back

Thanks for the reply, I dont want to edit the text in "introtext" I need to copy the text from introtext into a new template variable on the same page, then I will edit it from that new TV..

oh sorry...

then just invent a code which will find your Tv’ id and copy to it’s value the data from introtext.

Thanks for that. Kind of new to coding though and looking for a bit more help. If anyone can point me in the right diretion it would be much appreciated.

Was just looking at @BINDINGS, could these be used to get the data from the introtext field?
