I recently moved modx out of a directory and into the site root. Everything seems to be working fine, except for friendly urls. When I enable them, I get 403 errors on every page but the home page. They used to work when modx was in the old directory. My .htaccess file has the base set as / and the lines needed for friendlyurls are uncommented. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Did you clear your cache out after the move?

Did you check the path settings under Tools -> Configuration -> Interfaces & Functions? While you’re in there (if that’s the problem), you might as well update the path under File Manager, too.

          Hope that helps!

In .htaccess, is the subdirectory still listed in one of the rewrite rules?

Do you have a in the head section of your template?
