I can see that when uploading images through a template variable I am presented with two ’previews’, one large (possibly full-sized?) image and a smaller one beneath it.

Does this mean Modx automatically generates a thumbnail when you upload an image? If not, why does it present a thumbnail sized image in a preview? It would be great if it did... seeing as my clients aren’t too familiar with image-editing programs to be able to do it themselves!

Thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to help smiley

if you need to create thumbnails you can use Maxigallery or phpthumbs for PHx.

not sure about it but I think the image preview in the manager is done with phpthumbs.

Cool thanks. I did look into some of the gallery plugins so it looks like they’re the best solution!
