Problem with phx math

Hello,

I a page where I use Ditto, I am trying to write a value to the screen:



However, it outputs nothing. When I just do


it outputs ’8’ so I know total is not empty. Also, I am using another phx option elsewhere on the page so I know it "sort of" works. What am I doing wrong here?

Some extra info: in the Apache’s error log I see:

PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ’/’ in C:\\server\\Apache2.2\\htdocs\\limoon\\assets\\plugins\\phx\\phx.parser.class.inc.php(266) : eval()’d code on line 1

When I try to escape the slash by adding a backslash, Apache gives me:

PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ’/’, expecting T_STRING in C:\\server\\Apache2.2\\htdocs\\limoon\\assets\\plugins\\phx\\phx.parser.class.inc.php(266) : eval()’d code on line 1

I have tried muddling around a bit with different quote marks and such but nothing works.
