Hi,

Love your CMS and is just what I was looking for.

Im trying to change the id from the URL as described in the following page:
http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Friendly_URLs_Guide#Friendly_URLs_without_mod_rewrite_.28using_the_page_alias.29

Im not using rewrite as the HOST doesnt support it. I followed the Friendly URLs via Changing the Prefix but modx doesnt seem to parse it and remains on the home page.

Im using Evolution 1.0.2

Thanks,
Nick

well, you want to activate SEO, thats it?

Go to Manager -> Tools -> Configuration:

on Tab "Friendly URL’s" do:

"yes"
""
""
"yes"
"yes"
"yes"
"yes"

then, you have ht.access, rename it to .htaccess

edit it to change some settings (like put example.com going to www.example.com)

and there you go

Im not using rewrite as the HOST doesnt support it.

He can’t, microdual, that depends on mod_rewrite being supported.

Hi,

I have used mod_rewrite for SEO friendly URLS before on another host but as I said this host doesn’t support htaccess.
Is there any other way?

Regards,
Nick
