The problem with the email is the "dot" after Click here...

The site variables are accessed through Tools->Configuration
I find no variable there to specify the [+surl+]

Reading through ANCIENT forum threads, I found this article which seemed relevant:
    http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,5063.msg36266.html#msg36266

I didn’t find the zip file download that the post author referred to so I manually made the changes to the 2 lines of code he said needed to be changed and registered a new user and got a blank email with a totally bizarre URL reference. Obviously, I backed out the "fix." grin

But the problem remains and, for the life of me, I can’t imagine why it is so hard to change and/or look at the setting for the variable [+surl+]

    Bob? Are you out there?
