When I first installed MODx, I had some subdirectories already inside of my root directory. Everything worked great, and I could access those subdirectories from the web like normal.

Now, however, I created a new subdirectory (after installing MODx). Every time I try to visit this directory (or one of its contents) in a web browser, MODx redirects me to a 404 page. Is there a way I can fix this?

I’m using version 0.9.5 -- is this a known bug in my particular version? (i.e., would upgrading help?) Or, is there something I’m doing wrong?

    Thanks!

Ok, here’s some more info after trying to debug this problem.

The directory is password protected. Either disabling password protection or un-publishing my 404 page (in MODx) will resolve this issue.

Is there a way to have both enabled?

      Thanks!
