I am in the middle of developing a site locally on my Mac using MAMP.
All of a sudden I get this strange behavior: when I edit any document the entire top area of the editing session is completely blank? I am running evo-1.0.2. The pages render fine in the browser but all the tools and save boxes etc are missing when editing the pages from the manager. The document tree is there. I wonder if TinyMCE is fritzed here somehow?

This is vexing me so far.
All the pages render fine in a browser. But trying to edit them in the manager brings a huge white box that covers 70% of the editor window?
I can see elements and tools just fine. I can go into the Tools/Configuration and change the default template back to the minimal template and this will allow me to edit the pages with no issue. But when I switch back to my working template the hidden document editor window issue returns?
Any thoughts?
Edit: OK, I have my editor pane working again. I junked the last thing I was working on and that seemed to take care of this issue. I was working on creating a tag TV for ditto posts. I junked that and all is well again. I will need to get this TV running but will be cautious with this exercise.

Can you post the problem TV code (and/or) associated plugin? You might get help on the problem and I have a feeling that splittingred might want to look at it.

Deleting that TV seemed to fix the problem. I have been messing around with MODx for awhile now.
All of a sudden it was like a large section of white was blocking the entire edit document pane. The nav tree on the right was visible as was the lower third of the edit pane. I could see the lower portions of the two scroll bars on the right in the edit pane. The lower content seemed to slide under this section of mystery white (like a fixed layered graphic of solid white. Editing elements like chunks and other tools presented no problem though.
For awhile there I tried different things like re-uploading TinyMCE, copying the database tables, disabling TinyMCE and disabling QM. Nothing worked. I did discover that switching to the default template worked: no issues with the edit pane. Switching back to my template made the problem come back. I then decided to delete the last thing I was working on which was building a tagging TV for my Ditto call. This fixed the problem. Why? I have no idea. I was using a very basic TV with tag checkboxes.
But I am glad the problem has gone. No idea what I did here or if there is a bug? I will try adding a fresh TV today and see how it works.
Is the Manager locked up until you reload the page? I’ve had that happen when something goes wrong while updating the DB.
