    Hi

I tried the friendly URLs when I first set up my site and no joy. I have tried again now that the site is nearly finished and hoped I would have learnt more to get it working, but still no joy.

I am using a UKServers server. .htaccess is currently not in use because it returns a 500 internal server error. With it hidden, I just get a 404 when Friendly URLs are activated.

    The site is here: http://www.johnstrand-mk.co.uk.server64.ukservers.net/

I’ll leave FURLs activated for a day so that people can see what I’ve done. I’d love some advice in this area.

    Thanks

    Daniel

I would suggest contacting their support; that URL doesn’t look like your permanent domain URL. Using htaccess and mod_rewrite with temporary URLs can be a problem.

        Hi

I contacted UKServers and they responded to say:

"Try it again - we had to switch the ’Option’ commands on which we now have."

Hope this helps any other UKServers customers.
