I’m absolutely cluesless when it comes to RSS, never used it as a user or as a developer. Not really sure how it works..

I want to add RSS to my latest site and dont really know where to start. I want three of my website pages to be avilable through RSS. Will this mean users can subscribe to my RSS and when I update these pages the will get the updates to their feed undecided

    So far Ive read this:
    http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Basic_RSS_feed

Which seems simple enough, would that sufice for what I need?

    I also found this:
    http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/PieX

    Which sounds pretty good.

Am I right in thinking I follwo the steps in the first link and create the rss.xml page and them install pieX and reference the rss.xml page in my snippet?

Or do I jsut need to choose one of them?

    Many Thanks

pieX is a tool for consuming RSS feeds. You just need to create one as described in the first link describing a basic RSS feed.

        Brilliant, thanks OpenGeek!

EDIT: For any other newbies to RSS check this: http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/RSS

Somehow managed to find the other two links before that one!

Ok, Ive set up my RSS feed using these instructions: http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Basic_RSS_feed

But rather than use comma seperated page ID’s for my three pages I wanted to RSS, I tried using three different ditto calls as I was hoping to use a different template for each. Only the first Ditto snippet is parsing. Is it not possible to use several ditto calls on one rss page?

I could use a main RSS index page which links to the sperate 3 RSS feeds I wnat, but not ideal..
