I have been updating my old MODx installs to work on the latest php release and all has been working fine except for 1 site.

When I log in it jsut defaults back to the log in screen, if I then view the front end of the site I can see quick edit options however what ever option I select from here just brings up the log i screen again, I have used the log out option and tried again used a differant browser and tried another manager log in all with the same result.

I am now out of ideas, the only thing with this upgrade is I think the MODx version was slighlty older but I am not sure what it was.

    Does anyone have any ideas.

    Regards

    Ian

If you used FTP to copy the upgrade files, it’s possible that the FTP program did not overwrite the old files.

Also, you should run an upgrade install if you haven’t.

I uploaded all the new files then run the update program and everything went perfect until I tried to log in.

I will try and reupload everything and try it again.

        Cheers

Well re-uploaded and run the install again to update the site but same results, strange how I can see the quick edit in the front end but when I try to edit it returns me to the log in screen.

The site is only 8 pages so I will get on the page html do a totally fresh install and do the whole things from scratch think it might work out quicker in the long run.

          Cheers
