I have articles in the document tree, which I would like to post to twitter.
It would be great if this could be done on a random bases.
I’ve already searched the extras section, but found only one snippet that builds a "twitter this" link.
Any clues how this could be done?

IMHO this is to complicated, I implemented an easy solution with twitterfeed.com. I took a new document which makes ditto rss article out of the existing ones, and twitterfeed reeds this rss feed and posts them to twitter.
This is at least something.
What I would really prefer is something (maybe not modxean like twitterfeed) which reads articles on a random basis from a given part of the document tree and posts them into twitter - I guess I have to investigate if I can do something on my linux server with a combination of a website tracker and a tool which posts the results to twitter. A shell script with a cron job would do the job then. Or maybe something like external like twitterfeed whicht suites my needs already exists?
