Anyone have thoughts on how to do this?
I’ve got a real-estate app with several documents containing property descriptions that will use a somewhat anonymous alias, such as "property-01.html". The reason for this is to force users to contact the company about "property-01". However, we also have a need to have the actual property name show up on Google in order to bring people to the site who are searching for that property. In this case, the URL would use the property name such as "pebble-beach-condominiums.html". I’d like to avoid having duplicate content.
My idea at this point is to put all the content in the anonymous documents, then have the actual property documents (with their actual alias/URL) reference the anonymous ones via TV, and in the template for the actual properties, use something like GetField or Ditto to display the content from the related doc.
Am I correct in thinking that I need two documents if I want two URLs?
Is there a cleaner way to do this?
The actual property docs could have a TV with a value of @DOCUMENT referring to the aliased one. In that case, the TV tag will display the Content field of the document referred to.
You might also be able to do it with weblinks.
yeah, i thought about weblinks, but I’m not real familiar with how they work. I’ve only used them to link to external sites. Also, I’ve got two other TVs on the anonymous documents I need to reference, besides the Content. So far the method I mentioned looks good. I just didn’t know if there was another way to implement multiple aliases.

I think you could get the other two TVs with the GetField snippet.
