Background:
I created a new site today, and copied modx-1.0.2.zip to it, and unzipped it. I followed the directions here (
http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/Evo1/Basic+Installation) to get it set up for installation. I then ran the installer, entering information in for my database, admin user, etc. The only warning was about "register_globals", which I will research later. I also chose the option to have the sample site installed.
After a successful install, I attempted to login to Manager, but am unable. I enter my admin username and password, and hit enter. The web page refreshes, bringing me right back to the manager login page. There are no error messages. If I use an incorrect password, I do get an error, so I know I’m logging in with the correct ID/password.
The other thing I noticed was, on my new site, at the bottom, after all the sample stuff, there is the following message:
« MODx Parse Error »
MODx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:
« PHP Parse Error »
PHP error debug

I have run the install twice, with the same results. Any advice or assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks!
