Hi there,
honestly I have to point out, that I’m really new to modx (4 days) and I’m not a programmer either a coder...
I thought I’m able to read TV’s from document x and print them in document y (or in a chunk)
What I wanna do:
- "abuse" a blog to show and update my projects.
- I have set up a miniblog
- I have set up my template as a chunk to display the entries
- I have added some TVs in the blog entry (eg. Director, Client)
So far, so good.
=> I have my blog with some entries under the tree (project1, project2, etc.) and every page (entry) has filled out the TV’s.
projects (the main page of the blog with the listed entries and the TV’s should be shown here)
|_project1 (TV client="John Doe")
|_project2 (TV client="Mr. Smith")
|_....
I would now be able to read out the TVs in my template/chunk (which is in "projects") and show them. I gues I have to tell modx which TV it should read from which page - but how can I do this?
I don’t want to show the TV’s by calling them inside the entries. I have to call them in the template (because I would like to set up some div’s in the template to reveal the TV’s)
May stupid, but I don’t get it.
Thanks for help,
mickna
Ok, I have to call a snippet and then pass the vars to my chunk.
Thank you
