I’m new to Modx. I have previously used WordPress, but now I need a more robust platform. It needs to be accessible to the average non-technical user, though. Hence I am choosing between Joomla and Modx.
I need to develop a new modern website for an organization that runs various social groups, club events, a film festival, phone counceling, and so on.
An event calendar is needed that:
1) has categories, so that each group/project can have its own calendar on their respective subpages
2) can show all calendars in one display on main page
3) has various calendar views (incl. a montly mini calendar with tooltip events; full page calendar and upcoming events list)
4) has private (for logged in users only) and public events
and finally
5) has support for venues, so that the events on some specific room can be viewed (like booking system...)
6) Obviously this plugin must only show events in the frontend language selected by the user. (event descriptions would be tagged with language by hand)
Is this possible with Modx?
