    Hi,

    Ok so really bizzare question I know!

    But I installed ModX on a Webserver a few months ago and now I have lost the server name that the MySQL server is installed on!

    So when I go into config.inc.php in manager/includes I can see the modx username and mox password and the modx database name.

    But the server name is not there!!! Normally it would just be the domain name that the php files were hosted on but in this setup for some bizarre reason the MySQL databases are on a different server somewhere.

    Where does ModX store the server name details for logging into the ModX database?

    Thanks

    Peter

      Take another look at config.inc.php. It should be the second line. Normally, it’s set to ’localhost’.

      $database_server = 'localhost';
