Updating Mootools to 1.2 - good idea?

Hello all,
I would like to use a Mootools gallery plugin to display images. I am currently using one that does not support captions/descriptions. Ones that I have found that support captions are dependent upon mootools 1.2 and the mootools included is version 1.11. As I am not an experienced programmer I cannot figure out how to add the caption fuctionality to the plugin I am currently using.

Should I change the installed mootools version to version 1.2? Will that effect my Wayfinder drop down menu as it uses the mootools 1.11 version.

It will probably break your dropdown since 1.11 and 1.2 aren’t compatible. Here are 2 ideas:

You could try to upgrade your existing scripts with
