Hi all, i just looked into friendly urls in modx, awesome feature smiley

However just one issue which to me doesn’t make any sense...

I got the friendly urls working right so if I type www.example.com/index.php?id=3 or www.example.com/my-page.html it gets me to the same page, all fine and well there.

Now the way I link pages in modx would be through the ids of the docs so if you have a snippet pulling stuff from the document tree and outputting html with links in it the links will be:

    www.example.com/index.php?id=3
    www.example.com/index.php?id=4
    www.example.com/index.php?id=5
    ect...

Is there a way to get these to forward to the friendly urls, so the links are still via the id but there being displayed and crawled via the friendly url?

What use are they if the site is linked by ids internally, bots will not crawl the friendly url’s will they?

To me linking by an alias seems a bit un-safe code wise, i dunno :/

My top priority is good seo here not nice links if that makes any difference smiley

For linking to other documents in a furl’s accessible manner the format is <a href="[~xx~]"></a> where xx is the document id
