ADVICE needed -- Gallery extensions not sure which one....

Hello All,
I have been looking at MaxiGallery for use with image galleries but I think I need a different solution. As I understand it, MaxiGallery requires me to make a modx document to hold the images and gallery.

I have a site that is a collection of companies divided into categories, each having its own gallery on its full description page. Might someone know of a better solution for this? I am familiar with jQuery and SPRY (would rather not use SPRY) but wanted to see what other modx developers and designers use and recommend as I am still very new to coding and modx.

Each image location is saved in a DB table along with alt, and caption content. Would like to be able to access this info if at all possible.

Can I substitute my own DB table for the one included/created?

You certainly can but you’d have to mod the code. Might be easier to run it once then add your own columns to the table it creates?

Should still work in that case. Otherwise it looks like line 86 of AutoGallery.inc.php that needs to be changed. That seems to be a global (someone who is into global variables cleaned that bit up )

I thought so, but now I cannot access any part of my admin area. I get a message that says I need to run the install but all of the files are on the server and NO changes have been made. It just stopped working??????

Only get errors on the home page now and no admin area and no login. I hope I don’t have to start over
