I have a weird File Manager permissions problem - running Evo rev 6066
    For example:
use > Elements > File Manager > New Directory to create a folder
    assets/files/stuff
then upload a file into stuff using > Elements > File Manager > Upload file
    I get:
Failed to copy file to destination directory - upload failed! Possible permission problems - the directory you want to upload to needs to be set to 0777 permissions.

In a terminal session the permissions look ok:
    drwxrwxrwx 2 www-data www-data 4096 Jan 12 11:45 stuff
Although the user and owner are different from the installed directory, it shouldn’t matter because according to this any user can write to the folder.

If I change the owner of assets/files/stuff to the user that I used to upload the files when installing, everything works! This is no good to me though because I am building the system for use by people who don’t have the skill to hack around with permissions. Anyway, modx should be able to write to a folder that it created and that has with ’drwxrwxrwx’ permissions.

    Anyone out there seen/solved this?
