I want to create a staff page that can be edited and updated by the client. Essentially I will have a few standard fields such as Name, Position, etc. and a picture floated to the right. This will be repeated for each employee. Since there are repeated elements I don’t know if there is someway to incorporate chunks or TV’s or what! Does anyone have a good way of setting this up. I don’t want the client to have to try to do all of this in the resource content area.

One option would be to use template variables for your repeated fields.

Hey is this Mary from the coding pad. If so, love your tutorials. I thought of using TV’s but I’m not sure of the best way to set that up so that they can fill in the info for each employee, then it is aggregated(possibly have to use ditto as well) on the staff page. If I can come up with a good system, I will be sure to let you guys know. In the meantime any further suggestions or instructions would be appreciated.

Hey, yes this is smiley Glad the tutorials have been helpful. I think TVs would work well for this. Create a template for your staff pages, assign the TVs to that template, and then place all your staff pages in a Staff container. Then you could simply set up a template for your Ditto call sorting the info from the TVs as you want it to appear on the main staff page.

I look forward to seeing how you end up deciding to implement it. I have some free time this weekend and will think about it some more and post some suggestions. I’m sure others will be along with suggestions too smiley
