    Hi all

I have a site i need to upgrade from 0963 to Evo 102 which is running in mysql4 on a 1&1 server.

    Server specifics are:
    -- Server version: 4.0.27
    -- PHP Version: 4.3.10-200.schlund.1

Is the old version of mysql going to be a problem for Evo 102?

I’ve tested this locally in XAMPP importing the v4 live database into v5 locally and the upgrade worked fine, but i’m a bit wary (to say the least) of doing this on the live site.

Ideally i want to migrate the live site to mysql5 but right now a standard upgrade will be the quickest option and I want to do this asap. Can anyone advise on the safest/quickest way to upgrade a site from mysql 4 – 5?

    Thanks in advance

Do an SQL dump from v4 and import into a v5 database. Change the config.inc.php file to the v5 database and then run the upgrade.
