I am new to modx, so go easy on me.

I have some things stored outside of the modx database. I am searching the database with id numbers passed through the URL to a modx snippet. For the first item, this works. However, if I move to another page and try a similar action, it pulls the id from the first page, even though the current URL contains the correct id number.

I originally was obtaining the value through $_GET[’xxx’], and then tried parsing $_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"] to find the id. Both methods returned similar results. This only occurs in this one instance, which leads me to blame modx.

Is modx somehow caching server variables? That’s how it appears. It works for the first one, and keeps giving me the same id until the session dies.

    Any ideas would be great.

      Nevermind. I figured it out.

Apparently, there is a big difference between [[xxx]] and [!xxx!].
