    TinyMCE drives me up the wall sometimes. Why does it insist on "fixing" everything?

    (See attached images)

    It is using the handy file manager to find the image, and puts the appropriate path. However, as soon as I hit "OK", it changes the path to "../../". WTF?

    Even if I manually change it in the HTML back to "/assets/images/content" and hit save, it &@(%&@(% changes it back to "../../" which is NOT a valid path.

    How do you get this thing to stop thinking it’s smarter than it is?

      Not sure if this is the problem but one thing I can suggest is to check that your File Manager Path is set correctly - under Tools->Configuration->File Manager

        I should have mentioned, I am using Revolution.

        Under File System ...

        filemanager_path is set to blank, but the tooltip says "make sure this points to the root of your MODx installation", which I suppose would be blank

        Resource Path is set to "/assets/images/"

        However, the File Manager works just fine. I can upload and do all that fun stuff in the Files tab. This is specifically with TinyMCE.

          Confirming this has nothing to do with the File System ...

          In the HTML editor for TinyMCE, I enter this:

          <img class="content_image" src="/assets/images/content/test.jpg" />

          hit save. Refresh ... it is changed to this:

          <p><img class="content_image" style="border: 0px initial initial;" mce_style="border: 0px initial initial;" src="../../images/content/test.jpg" mce_src="../../images/content/test.jpg" alt="" width="497" height="156"></p>

          wtf!

                Ah, missed that line... So to refine my question what beta (or svn) of revo are you using and what version of tiny?

                  Try fullpathurl as value for path_options in plugin config (unlock it)
